What to Check Before Your First Ride

Start with the battery. If it wasn't on a tender all winter, it may be dead or weak. We test the battery and replace it if needed. A weak battery can leave you stranded, and that's not how anyone wants to start riding season.

Next is the oil. Even if you changed it before storage, we check the level and condition. Oil that sat in a cold engine for months can have condensation mixed in, which isn't great for your internals. A fresh oil and filter change is always a smart move before your first ride.
