Detailed Answer
Preparing for a mobile mechanic visit is pretty simple. There's no need to clean out your car or do anything complicated. Just a few basics help us work efficiently and get you back on the road faster.
Park on a Flat, Stable Surface
A driveway, parking lot, or garage works best. We need enough room to open doors, access the engine bay, and move around the vehicle comfortably. Gravel is fine as long as it's relatively level. Steep hillsides or muddy spots can make some repairs difficult or unsafe, so if your vehicle is in a tricky spot, let us know when you book and we'll figure out the best approach.
Know Your Symptoms
The more you can tell us about what's going on with your vehicle, the faster Robert can diagnose the issue. Things like when the problem started, what it sounds like, whether it happens at certain speeds or temperatures, and whether any warning lights are on. You don't need to know what's wrong. That's our job. But your description of the symptoms is always helpful.
Make Sure We Can Get to the Vehicle
If your car is in a garage, make sure the door is open or we have access. If it's at a workplace, let your employer or parking lot manager know that a service vehicle will be on site. For apartment complexes or condos with restricted parking, a heads up to management avoids any issues.
Other than that, there's nothing special you need to do. No need to warm the engine up or leave the keys in a certain spot. Robert will walk you through everything when he arrives.
